1. Who we are
The LaGrange Soccer Club (LSC) is made up of a Board of Directors who is all non-paid volunteers. We serve the community by running the youth soccer program in partnership with the Town of LaGrange. The LaGrange soccer club programs are open to any player from any town and include intramural, travel, premier and special needs programs for soccer players.
LSC is proud to offer the areas first and only Special Needs Programs for youth and new this year we have added an Adult Special Needs Soccer Program as well.
LSC is also proud to be the parent league to a unique and successful premier league started in 2003 named Middle Path FC. For complete information on Middle path go to www.middlepathfc.net.
2. Where are the games played?
All intramural games are
played at Stringham Park (directions and map available under the
FIELDS section of the website). The intramural program includes
Limited Distance Travel (LDT) games formerly known as “Intertown”,
are played at Stringham Park and away games at the local fields of other
clubs such as Wappingers, Poughkeepsie or Fishkill. None of these games
are outside of southern Dutchess County.
Travel games are played at Stringham park and away games can
be up to an hour away in Northern Westchester or Ulster county or areas
of Dutchess County.
3. When are games played?
Intramural games are played
on Saturday.
Travel games are played on Sunday.
4. When are practices?
Intramural practices
are usually one night a week. The U5 and U6 division practices are held
30 minutes before the games every week.
Travel practices are scheduled at the best time for most players
and the coach and are determined at an initial meeting of the team.
5. How do I register my child for soccer?
Registration opens in May.
You can register from our website by following the link to our registration site. Create an account using your email, choose a session/division and please note the age requirements based on your child’s date of birth for each division. When registering in the spring you are actually registering your child to start with their team the next fall.
U5 Division; your 4 yr old
child is eligible to register for U5 if their
5 yr birthday falls before July 31st
of the following spring

Can I register in the spring for the
current spring season?
Sometimes we have room for players in the spring due to changes in the rosters.
Our registration site is always
open, please create an account, sign your child up for their age group,
and utilize our wait list option. If room opens up on a team you will
be notified by email to complete your registration. Once registration
is complete you will be contacted by a coach. Uniforms will be ordered
and delivered shortly after.

What is the registration fee?
The registration fee is determined by the league and is subject to change. There is a late fee for registering after a set date also.
Your registration fee includes
a uniform kit consisting of team shirt, matching shorts, and socks.
8. When will we be contacted by a coach about the start of play in September?
Intramural coaches should
be contacting the players on their team around late August but this
will depend on the coach’s availability or whether anyone has volunteered
to coach in your child's age group. .
Travel coaches may contact players mid August or earlier.
We are always looking for more volunteer coaches!
9. When will we get uniforms and a schedule of games?
Uniforms and are distributed
to coaches at a general meeting prior to Labor Day weekend.
Schedules will be distributed by coaches as well.

What will I need for my child to start soccer?
If you are a first time family in the LaGrange soccer club you will need to send a copy of your child’s birth certificate. Complete the registration process and the Medical Release Form (downloadable link from our website). Your child will need to bring their own ball, water, and soccer cleats to every practice and game.
Shin guards: Shin guards are mandatory for both practice and games. No exceptions. Soccer socks need to completely cover your child's shin guards during practice and games.
Soccer Ball: The different age divisions use the following size soccer balls:
U5 & U6 - size 3
U7 - U12 - size 4
U13 and up - size
If you are registered for Limited Distance Travel or Travel you must have a player pass and have one more step to complete your registration process.
Limited Distance Travel players need to submit a copy of their birth certificate and a photo via email to LSCintramurals@gmail.com. Birth Certificates (not photos) can also be faxed to 845-223-4512.
11. Does the LaGrange Soccer Club need coaches and other volunteers?
YES! We can always use
volunteers to help with the administration of the Club and to coach
or assistant coach.
