1.      Each team is expected to report to the registration table a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their first game.  Player passes, waivers of liability, medical forms and permission to travel forms (if applicable) will be checked at this time.

2.      Uniforms: each team must bring an alternate set of shirts in case there is a conflict of colors.  The use of shin guards by all players is mandatory.  Players uniforms must be similar and extra clothing will be discouraged, but will be allowed at the discretion of the referee. Duplicate numbers allowed on players jerseys are not permitted.

3.      The first team listed on the schedule is the home team.  In case of a uniform conflict, the home team shall change uniforms.

4.      The duration of the game shall be 25 minutes.  The start and stop of games will be signaled by the site coordinator or their designate with an air horn.  The Referee will signal a short stoppage at approximately the 13th minute for the teams to switch ends.  There will be no extension for substitution, time-wasting, injury or any other cause.

5.      Scoring: points will be awarded as follows:

               WIN:  3 points

                TIE:   2 points - other than 0-0 score

                TIE:   1 point   - 0-0 score

            LOSS:              0 points       

In the case of a tie in the final standings, the following order will be used to break the tie:           

A.     In head to head play, the team that beat the other shall be placed ahead of the other.

B.     The team with the most wins shall be placed ahead of the other.

C.    The team with the best goal differential up to a maximum of 4 goals shall be placed ahead of the other.

D.    The team that allowed the fewest goals shall be placed ahead of the other.

E.     A shoot-out of 5 kicks from the penalty spot shall be taken to determine the winner.

Note: “A” is not to be used if more than two teams are tied.

6.                  Forfeits: a team winning a game by forfeit shall be credited with a 2-0 win, with 3 points awarded.

7.                  Any playoff games ending in a tie will be decided by a 10 minute overtime period; two 5 minute halves.  If still tied after the overtime, the game will be decided by a sudden-death shoot-out.

8.                  The player passes will be checked only at registration.  Up to 2 guest players are allowed.  However, any coach has the right to challenge any player on the opposing team.  The referee should be notified prior to the completion of the game and the player and his pass will be examined after the game.  Any team using an illegal player shall receive no points for any game in which that player was used.  Their opponent(s) shall receive 3 points for a win.

9.                  Any player that is red-carded shall be removed from the game and not be replaced. The player shall also be suspended from his next game.  For gross misconduct as determined by the referee, the tournament committee may suspend a player or coach for the balance of the tournament.

10.             In any dispute, the decision of the tournament committee will be final.

11.             The LaGrange Soccer League Inc., the LaGrange Soccer Club, the Arlington Central School District, the County of Dutchess, and the Town of LaGrange assume no responsibility from any injuries resulting from participation in this tournament.  By accepting these rules and procedures, all participating clubs and players indicate that they carry their own insurance and will hold harmless the LaGrange Soccer League Inc., the LaGrange Soccer Club, the Arlington Central School District, the County of Dutchess, and the Town of LaGrange.

12.             Refunds will not be provided after formal notification of team acceptance into the tournament.

13.             Except for lightning, the games will be played rain or shine.  At the first sign of lightning, the referees will suspend the game until 15 minutes have passed with no visible lightning.

14.             Any team found to not be in compliance with the described definition of teams from the Permission to Host form and tournament application will be required to forfeit their games.
