Special Needs Soccer

The LaGrange Soccer Club has successfully established youth
soccer teams for children with special needs. This is the first time that
organized soccer will be available to children with developmental or other
disabilities in Dutchess, Putnam, and Nothern Westchester Counties.
Children with developmental or other disabilities between 5 and 21 years
of age are invited to participate. Residency in the Town
of LaGrange is not required. The goal of the LaGrange Soccer Club is to
afford all children the opportunity to learn the game of soccer, to interact
with other children, make new friends, and to enjoy the spirit of competition.
Our program is run by Chris Keenan, a physical education teacher with a
special interest for children with special needs. Rules
will be adapted to match the skill level of the participants. Games will
be played Saturdays from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM at our Stringham Park facility
field A1. All parents who would be interested in registering their child
for this exciting opportunity should contact
Jeff Feldman
, Past President of the LaGrange Soccer Club, at 897-5199.
